Jakarta, April 26, 2026 — The Alumni Association (IKAL) of SMAN 26 South Jakarta held a vibrant Halal Bihalal gathering at Anggrek Lounge, Hotel Bidakara, attended by more than 100 alumni from various generations. The event carried a meaningful theme: “more than just a reunion, it is about forgiveness and staying forever young.”
The atmosphere was filled with warmth, laughter, and heartfelt reconnections. Live music entertainment and exciting door prizes added to the festive mood.
One of the highlights was when representatives from each graduating class were invited to the stage and introduced, symbolizing appreciation and unity across generations.
IKAL Chairman Herawan (Iwan) expressed his gratitude.
“This togetherness is the foundation that keeps IKAL strong and growing. We truly appreciate everyone’s support,” he said.
He added, “We are committed to creating more inclusive and impactful programs ahead.”
IKAL SMAN 26 Advisor Inspector General of Police (Ret.) Drs. Prasta Wahyu Hidayat, S.H., M.M., M.Hum. emphasized unity.
“Our strength lies in staying connected and supporting one another across generations,” he noted.
Alumnus Piet Purnakarya (Class of 1981) shared his impression of the event.
“It was truly fun—full of laughter, nostalgia, and great energy. A well-organized and lively gathering,” he said.
He also expressed his hope, “Hopefully we stay connected beyond annual events and make the next gathering even more exciting.”
The increasing participation of younger alumni, especially from the 1990s generation, added fresh energy and optimism to the event.
