South Tangerang – The spirit of togetherness and generosity during the holy month of Ramadhan was evident as the Tangerang Chapter of Alumni SMA Jakarta Bersatu (ASJB) organized a community iftar gathering and takjil sharing event on Sunday, March 15, 2026.
The activity began with the distribution of takjil to residents and passing motorists along Ciater Barat Street, South Tangerang, shortly before sunset. The event was followed by an iftar gathering held at the home of one of the members, Tining.
The takjil packages were prepared through voluntary contributions from members of the Tangerang chapter. The donations were collected through a simple “saweran” tradition among the alumni, reflecting the spirit of mutual support within the community.
RM Kusumo H as known Ndaru, Head of the ASJB Tangerang Chapter, said the activity was aimed at strengthening both social solidarity and alumni friendship.
“All the donations came from contributions by our members. It’s a simple effort, but we want Ramadhan to be filled with meaningful activities that benefit others,” Ndaru said.
He also noted that the Tangerang chapter covers a relatively large area of around 1,300 square kilometers, with members spread across different cities and districts.
Despite the geographical spread, the alumni remain enthusiastic about maintaining strong connections.
“Tangerang is quite a large region, but that doesn’t reduce our enthusiasm to stay connected, meet each other, and maintain our friendship,” he added.
The evening continued with a warm and relaxed iftar gathering at Tining’s residence, where members shared meals, stories, and laughter.
In the peaceful atmosphere of Ramadhan, the gathering served as a reminder that alumni connections can go beyond nostalgia—becoming a platform for friendship, social care, and meaningful community engagement.
